VNIR-250 Data Specification

The VNIR-250 product offers high-resolution imagery in the Visible and Near-Infrared spectrum.

The optical payload is an iSIM-90 integrated Standard Imager developed by SATLANTIS and is a new generation of high-resolution multi-spectral optical imager for earth observation developed for 12U or larger CubeSats.

Spectral Bands

The multispectral payload captures 4 channels in the visible and near infrared spectral range. These channels align with the corresponding channels in Sentinel 2 imagery. The range of each channel is given below:

  • Band 1: 830nm - NIR 190nm wide
  • Band 2: 640nm - Red 100nm wide
  • Band 3: 570nm - Green 70nm wide
  • Band 4: 500nm - Blue 60nm wide

File Naming Convention

The file names for MANTIS data products follow a standard convention as defined in the table below. This convention captures high level metadata in the name to allow for quick and easy visual identification.

L1D Data Product

Collection ID: mantis_l1d-cogs

This collection consists of MANTIS L1D data products. These data products are defined as ortho-ready high resolution imagery with the following processes applied:

  • Radiometric correction to Top-of-Atmosphere (TOA)
  • Geometric correction to an accuracy of ~100m
  • Pan Sharpening
  • Ortho-ready, metadata files containing Rational Polynomial Coefficients (RPCs)
